Unilex
Since its initial launch in 1996, UniLex has become a standard for interpreters, translators and for all those working in a professional environment. For these users UniLex offers a multitude of search features, an integration with Microsoft Word and the possibility to combine user dictionaries with the full range of CDROM dictionaries available in the UniLex series.
Numerous publishers are currently using Unilex as their standard dictionary browser interface. These include: Oxford University Press, Bohn Stafleu van Loghem, Klett/Pons Verlag, Brandstetter Verlag, Beck Verlag, Siebenpunkt Verlag, Vieweg Verlag, Publicis, and many more.
Creating user dictionaries
UniLex is not only used to browse dictionaries but can also be used to create and manage your own user dictionaries. With the UniLex editor, you can edit your own dictionaries and terminologies that can then be searched simultaneously with all standard dictionaries in the UniLex series.
If you need more functionality for your terminology management, then UniTerm would be the right choice to make. Uniterm is a professional terminology management system developed by Acolada, the developers of the Unilex software. UniTerm is linked to UniLex so that terminology data can be used directly in UniLex.
Network versions
UniLex can also be used in a network environment. All dictionaries in the UniLex series can be obtained both as single-user versions and as network versions. The licensing is based on the number of concurrent users in the network.
