Dictionary editor EN-DE-EN wanted [freelance]

The dictionary editor/author we have a vacancy for will take the lead in authoring one of our existing online technical dictionaries. Payment is negotiable and will be for each individual entry edited or authored, or based on royalties.

Candidates must be natives of German and have previous experience in lexicography and with working with terminology databases.

In-depth knowledge of technology is a requirement for this work. Previous work experience as a dictionary editor or author must be demonstrated by references and/or by published work.

The author in question will receive both payment and additional royalties on completion of the work. This author will be working as executive editor on the German edition of the Comprehensive Dictionary of Industry & Technology, in close collaboration with the editor-in-chief.

Author and editor English/German/Dutch wanted [freelance]

The dictionary editor/author we are looking for will carry out editing work as co-author of existing bilingual technical dictionaries to be published online and on CDROM. Activities would be according to pre-defined instructions from Translex. Payment is negotiable and will be for each individual entry edited or (as co-author) based upon a royalty percentage for each copy sold.

Candidates must have previous experience in lexicography and a sound knowledge of the principles of terminology. Editing work must carried out with the utmost accuracy. In-depth knowledge of the subject is essential.
